Hmm... Arthritis or MS?
My roommate and I were watching TV a little while ago, and saw an add for a drug called Enbrel. It was hysterical, and brought to mind this one Jeff Foxworthy bit I saw a little while ago. It prompted her to post something about it on her blog, which I definitely felt the need to copy over onto mine.
Thinking about trading your arthritis for MS? If so, consider Enbrel.
Side effects may include:
- Serious infections (possibly fatal)
- Rare cases of tuberculosis
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Seizures
- Inflammation of the nerves in the eyes
- Lymphoma (cancer)
- Headache
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea and vomiting
Don't believe me? It's on Enbrel's commercials and website. Check it out

Seriously, folks, always talk to your doctor about any medication, including possible side effects and drug interactions. Always be mindful of the side effects. You may die from them. But again, don't take my word for it. Take your doctor's.
So what's it gonna be? Arthritis or MS? Maybe, if you're really lucky you'll get TB or Lymphoma. I know arthritis is horribly painful, but I'm not sure that this drug is worth the risk. I'm assuming the FDA has approved this, though I haven't checked their site yet. Honestly though, if this drug could cause MS, Lymphoma, and possibly fatal infections, I have to question the sanity of those who take it. Their arthritis better be pretty darn severe. I was watching another add for a nasal spray that's supposed to help with seasonal allergies. One of the side effects was that it can cause some viral infections. Sheesh... like Jeff Foxworthy, if the side effects are worse than the ailment their meant to cure, I'd rather deal with the origninal ailment.
