Park City Mall

http://www.whtm.com/news/stories/1207/479759.html

One more reason for me to fear the malls right now. Also why I become more and more scared of Lancaster City all the time. It's bad enough dealing with the huge Christmas crowds and pushy salesmen, now I have to worry about being abducted in the parking lot.

Becoming Concerned

So I've got this big project I have to do for my Foundations of Marriage and Family class. We have to interveiw several relatives spanning at least 3 generations, and write a 10 page paper on our "Family Folklore". Naturally I decided to use my father's side of the family, because they are a little unique. So I contacted several members of my family almost immediately after first learning of the assignment. I spoke to my grandparents, three aunts, two cousins, and my parents. All of them acted as though they'd be more than happy to help me out. So far, only my grandparents have actually sent me any information. Luckily, they've sent me a lot. I lvoe my grandparents, they are great. The others however, have yet to get back to me, or have gotten back to me, and changed their minds about helping. How nice. Of course, my parents are still going help me, but my aunts and my cousins seem to have changed their minds. Great.

Insecurities

Yup... I'm back to the "am I intimidating?" issue again. My friends have assured me that I'm not; however, they are my friends and are somewhat biased. LOL... of course, it was one of my closest friends who managed to put that thought into my head anyway. You know you've got a true friend when they aren't afraid to angry you by telling you the perfect unadulterated truth. So due to certain recent events, this obsession of mine has been rekindled and I'm all insecure and paranoid about people possibly finding me intimidating.

I know, and have known, for quite some time now, that I can be a very difficult person to understand. I'm complex, though simple at the same time. I'm complex in the way that I'm different than other girls my own age. I'm quiet, moody at times, and overly philosophical. I'm simple because I believe the simple things in life are the best. I wear my heart on my sleeve, guessing what I'm thinking or feeling really isn't that hard once you've gotten to know me half decently. That's the catch though, getting to know me half decently. People don't seem to like putting any effort into that. Therefore, I'm usually misunderstood by most people. And due to the fact that I'd rather be hated for who I really am, as opposed to being loved for who I'm not, I'll probably be misunderstood for the rest of my life.

Honestly, there are only maybe 5 people who I think truly understand me.

Intimidation

Do I intimidate people?
This is a very important question that needs an answer!
Please, feel free to comment on this subject. I'm encouraging it.
I don't think I'm intimidating, I can't figure out why some people might view me that way, but perhaps they do.
I tend to be very quiet and reserved, and I'll be honest, I'm very very shy. I guess that could be interpreted as being snobby perhaps, but I really don't think I give off those vibes. I'm normally very friendly even if I'm not all that out going and talkative. I smile when I see people, usually as a form of greeting, and I tend to show genuine interest in them.
Perhaps it is my sense of humor. I can be a little sarcastic, and enjoy a little dark humor once in a while, but that doesn't really mean anything. If anything it shows that I'm a little more grounded than most people at this school. Besides anyone who knows me knows I do tend to be a cheerful and slightly optimistic person.
Maybe I come off as being a real smartass. I do tend to show it off a little when I'm very knowledgeable on a certain subject. I just like to share what i know with others.
I never stressed out over this topic before, but the wonderful LG had to suggest the idea that I might be found intimidating to me a little while ago and now I'm obsessing.
