gonna do this more often

Yeah... I've been slacking, I'm taking the time to do this more often from here on out. We are into our sixth week here at school. It's all going pretty well so far. If I don't get a 4.0 or a 3.8 this semester, I shall be shocked. Honestly, I see no real difference between this nice private college, and the community college I went to last year. The classes are at the same level of difficulty and all. I was warned by many people that this school will be so much harder than community college was, and they so far have been very very wrong. Then again, I should have taken into account that these were people who have no experience with community college. Either they've only even gone to private colleges or they never attended college at all. Which makes it kind of silly that they felt the need to tell me what to expect, when honestly, they didn't know if anything even would be different here. Silly peoples. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it is easier going to a private college. I've found that there are less distractions here. I don't have my baby sis (who I miss terribly) begging me to play, I don't have my mom wanting to talk with me everytime I sit down to get my assignments done, and I'm not getting called into work EVERY NIGHT! I can just go to my dorm room, shut the door, and get my work done in peace here. Of course, once I get to know more people, and know the area a bit better, I might start becoming a little more distracted. I adjusted better to living on campus than I ever thought I would too. I'll be honest, I'm socially retarded, but I'm making a lot of friends, so no worries there. My job on campus is easier than the one I was working last year. I'm working less hours too (only 9-12 a week). Of course, the pay sucks! I go home to my old job once or twice a month to make up the difference. One weekend there equals two weeks at my campus job. I hear some of my old regulars there miss me... how sweet. That really made my day when I heard that. I can't help but hope that one particular regular is one making some of those comments. I'm hoping to see that one next week when I'm home. Anyhow... more to come, right now I need to finish my assignments for my Cognition class. I get my test back tomorrow, can't wait to see what I got.
