things that I really truely hate in life
These are a few things in life that I cannot stand! They are in no particular order:
1. professors who don't give a damn about their students. These are the professors that when you go up to them after class to ask a question, they tell you to email it to them. You email them the same day, and several weeks later, you have yet to get an answer to your question.
2. When you think that you did excellent on a test, and you actually only get a C on it. It's heart breaking, especially when it's an essay test, where every question is worth 8 points, and the professor refuses to give any partial credit, if you only missed one little detail.
3. Bosses who refuse to let you have the night off when you are horribly ill. You can even bring them a note from a doctor, yet they refuse to believe that you honestly are sick.
4. When people feel the need to give you advice on something they no nothing about; however they act like they are an authority on the subject, without you asking for any advice.
5. People who like to say:
"you'd look so pretty if you just did your hair a bit different" Thank you, but I like my hair longer like this, something about longer hair makes me feel a bit more girly than shorter hair did. I will wear my hair how I like it.
"you'd look so pretty if you just got highlights" I'm actually happy that I took this advice. I look good as a blond, at least I think I do(which is all that really matters); however, I didn't exactly look hideous with my God-given light brown hair color. I just like the blond because it's something different.
"you'd look so pretty if you just lost a few pounds" I'm well aware of this. I should lose ten, maybe 15 pounds. Here at school, with the lack of food that's available that I actually like, this shouldn't be to hard. So I'm a little overweight, I do have a good frame for handling it, and I am a relatively cute person.
"you'd look so pretty if you just would wear your contacts" I agree. I do look the librarian look sometimes. The glasses are just the perfect accessory to certain outfits. The only other times I wear my glasses are because my allergies are acting up, I have an eye infection, a headache, or for some reason my eyes are bloodshot and puffy making me look like I've been drinking and I'm wearing my glasses to hide it a little. Though I do not drink, sometimes something like pulling an all-nighter or being upset over something can produce that look.
"you'd look so pretty if you just bought stylish clothing" I refuse to fall for that crap! I wear what I like, and what I know looks good on me. My style is usually classic yet casual. A pair of cute shoes, boot-cut jeans that are still very nice looking and fit me well, and a nice button down blouse or nice fitting sweater. That type of look really doesn't go out of style. My accessories are a bit off beat and unusual, but that's how i like it.
Anyhow... I must be off to class.
